2025 Honda Passport Changes, Release Date, Colors, and Price. The new-generation 2025 Honda Passport is confirmed for the next year. The Passport SUV is basically a smaller version of the popular Pilot model. Both models provide almost the same design and both are sharing plenty of similarities. However, the upcoming Passport will offer more standard equipment and it will get a unique cabin. There will be two rows of seats and rooms for five passengers.
Under the hood, the Passport model also shares a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that produces 280-horsepower, and nine-speed automatic transmission with the Honda Pilot.
2025 Honda Passport Will Use V6 Powertrain
The 2025 Honda Passport will be offered with the same engine as the Honda Pilot. The engine that powers this compact crossover is a 3.5-liter V6. This engine is, unfortunately, the only option for now. It produces 280 horsepower 263 lb-ft of torque and it is connected to the 9-speed automatic gearbox. As before front-wheel-drive comes as standard, while AWD is optional or standard on higher trims.
The 2025 Passport model will come with better ground clearance than the Pilot model. This will give to this SUV better off-roading. Thanks to this powertrain this crossover will tow slightly over 5000 pounds. Current one Passport delivers 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway. However, with the release of the new model, we can expect better consumption.
2025 Honda Passport Exterior Changes
The 2025 Honda Passport will be redesigned and as before it will share plenty of similarities with the Honda Pilot. According to the latest news, most of the changes will happen on the front. The body of this SUV will be untouched. Because the previous model is totally redesigned, we don’t expect significant exterior upgrades at all. As we mentioned, the Passport is a middle-size SUV that is very compact.
The new model is smaller than the three rows Honda Pilot model. Furthermore, both models share the same platform. Dimensionally, these two SUVs ride on the same 111-inch wheelbase, though the Passport is around 6 inches shorter than the Pilot. Thanks to the smaller dimensions the Passport feel more agile and is easier to park. As the standard equipment, this SUV offers impressive 20-inch wheels, LED headlights, and unique black grille.
Interior and Trim Levels
The interior of the compact 2025 Honda Passport will be similar to the cabin of the CR-V crossover. Also, some of the techs and materials will be borrowed from the larger Pilot SUV. The 2025 Honda SUV will arrive in four trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Touring, and Elite. All models are unique and provide their own benefits. However, all models come with comfortable seats and great cargo space. Behind the second-row seatback is 41.2 cubic feet of space. Moreover, folding the second row down space will expands to about 78 cubic feet in total.
The base model will include features like tri-zone climate control, keyless access, numerous driver-assistance features, a 5-inch touchscreen, and a mighty sound system with seven speakers. The EX-L trim will add leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Touring that is recommended trim will feature more for invested money. This model comes with heated rear seats, a 10-speaker audio system, a hands-free liftgate, heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charger, and integrated navigation. The last trim and the most expensive is the range-topping Elite. This one offers all the equipment available above, plus it will add LED ambient lighting and more premium materials.
Price and Release Date
The all-new 2025 Honda Passport will come with MSRP of $32,000. This is the price for the base version. Choosing the high-range-topping Elite trim, the price will go up to $45,000. The middle-size Passport is available for sale in the second half of 2025.
