On top of that, Starex minivan will become a mechanical twin of the new-gen Kia Carnival. The new minivan looks plush and very modern.
Some reports are predicting the new name for the Starex model. Besides Starex’s name, H-1 is already in use. Of course, Hyundai plans to put this minivan in the North American market. The latest mechanical changes are the best proof for that.
2025 STAREX SPY SHOTS
We had an opportunity to see the very first spy photos of the upcoming 2025 Hyundai Starex. Some drastic changes are about to happen. For a start, the layout on the front fascia is clearly suggesting a redesign. Furthermore, the layout is now similar to the layout of the new Hyundai Sonata. We know it isn’t the most unique move, but it is what it is.
Halogen headlights are standard once again, along with the fog lights. The grille wears more chrome accents this time, and it makes a real standout. The side profile will also get noticeable changes. The door handles are brand-new, and front doors are slightly revised. This minivan will continue to ride on standard 17-inch wheels.
NEW AND POWERFUL V6?
The current Starex minivan comes with three engine options. A 2.5-liter is making 99 horses while second 2.5-liter is good for 168 horsepower. This 2.5-liter, a Euro 6 compliant generates up to 173 hp. The current model is available with a 5-speed manual transmission. Now, the 2025 Hyundai Starex will become a mechanical twin of the new Kia Carnival.
For that reason, a 3.6-liter V6 is the most likely outcome. The goal is to put Starex on American soil. This engine is the perfect candidate. It can deliver 275 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. It comes with a new 8-speed automatic transmission. As before, Starex remains an RWD model.
COMPETITION
The all-new 2025 Hyundai Starex will compete against a couple of models. The latest reports are saying that the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance is working on a new minivan. The goal is to tackle Starex minivan and its popularity in India and the Philippines.
The arriving minivan will share the platform with Renault Traffic. Furthermore, a new minivan will be marketed in Australia and New Zeeland as well. The new and potential competitor, Starex will rival the new Peugeot Traveler.
2025 HYUNDAI STAREX PRICE AND RELEASE DATE
The forthcoming 2025 Hyundai Starex will surely get a small jump in price. No one actually knows how much it will cost. Kia is releasing a new Carnival model in January. For that reason, Hyundai will release its new minivan in the first half of 2025.
If the reports are correct, Starex will hit the markets in the United States as well. Starex will probably arrive under the new name, and it will ride on a more potent engine. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the coming months.
