Acura’s successful, compact crossover, the RDX will enter the third generations as the 2025 Acura RDX not as the 2018 model what some reports suggested when saw the first test mule on road. Honda’s luxury sub-brand presented the prototype of the new RDX at the 2018 Detroit Show and Acura claims it is brand’s most extensive redesign in more than ten years.Acura redesigned the RDX model from the ground up. The new platform and slightly changed proportions come combined with Acura Precision Concept-inspired design and redone interior.
2025 ACURA RDX: DESIGN
The redesigned 2025 Acura RDX is designed on Acura’s exclusive platform and also changed its proportions. The new model has 2.5 inches longer wheelbase and widened track by 1.2 inches.Styling wise, the new RDX embodies the design language that we saw on the Acura Precision Concept at the 2016 Detroit Show. The new RDX comes with the pentagonal grille and new generation of Acura’s headlights.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
Inside the cockpit, we will also encounter the new-generation design. Passengers will enjoy more space and new seat design. Curvaceous dash design, wood and aluminum trim will also provide the additional sense of luxury.The new model also introduces the new True TouchPad interface with the high mounted 10.2-inch touchscreen. The system can be controlled through the touchpad or with touch controls. The system also introduces new-generation voice recognition and Acura also brings new ELS sound system.The new RDX will also be equipped with the suite of driver assistance systems. The Acura Watch suite will include adaptive cruise control, pre-collision auto braking, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, surround view cameras, etc.
2025 ACURA RDX: TURBOCHARGED PERFORMANCE
The new 2025 Acura RDX switches from the 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V-6 engine to the turbocharged formula. The new engine will provide 40-percent more low-range torque compared to the V-6 engine but Acura hasn’t revealed power and torque figures.What are also the good news, the RDX will employ brand’s Super Handling all-wheel-drive system with the torque vectoring. The new rear differential can also manage 40 percent greater torque. The RDX will also offer adaptive dumpers and Integrated Dynamics System with different modes.
2025 ACURA RDX: RELEASE, PRICE
The new 2025 Acura RDX will go on sale later in the year. Expect slightly increased price but also sportier variant.
