It’s not the secret that BMW is working on the new ultra-luxury flagship SUV which will carry the X7 badging. The pre-production models were caught on serval occasions while testing in different conditions and while first prototypes were with the non-production body the recent spy photos seem to show the production-ready form of Bavarian full-size, three-row SUV.The largest and most luxurious BMW’s SUV ever will arrive as the 2025 BMW X7. The model will combine the look of the newest X5 and X7 Concept model. It will offer ultra-luxury cabin with the latest tech features and different powertrain options including the electrified version.
2025 BMW X7: DESIGN
What we know from the start is the fact that the 2025 BMW X7 will use brand’s flexible CLAR platform which debuted in the redesigned 2016 7-Series. This platform combines modern, lightweight and high strength materials which provide maximum efficiency, performance and safety. The design of the platform is also compatible with the electrified powertrains and newest technologies. The look of the new X7 shouldn’t also be the full surprise. The model will combine the design details from the BMW X7 iPerformance Concept and most recent BMWs.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
As for the interior, we know so far, it will come with three row of seats and with the level of luxury unmatched in another brand’s SUVs. The overall design should be similar to what we get in the latest 7-Series. That means driver-focused dash design, digital instrument cluster and similar electronics. The model will offer the latest infotainment platform with gesture control and the long list of active safety systems. The equipment list will also include components such as the five-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, night vision, rear seat entertainment, Harman Kardon premium sound system, head up display, 22-inch wheels, etc.
2025 BMW X7: POWERTRAINS
When it comes to the powering gear, BMW still hides details. The 2025 BMW X7 will surely offer combustion engine options and also add the plug-in hybrid version. Of course, the model won’t offer a wide range of powertrains on its debut.A 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 should also be on the offer with power in above 300 hp range. The diesel models will also be available outside the US.The plug-in hybrid will arrive sometime later in the life cycle with the combo including the turbocharged petrol engine assisted by the electric motor.
