Cadillac is working on its crossover SUV range in recent years and the big and powerful Escalade will also get brand’s attention soon. This truck-based luxury SUV switched to the fourth generation in 2015 but the model was actually a heavily updated version of the previous generation rather than a fully redesigned model. The last update for the model was the introduction of the new 10-speed automatic transmission. The next version of this model, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, as per latest reports, won’t also bring substantial changes. The all-new Escalade and Escalade ESV will arrive as the 2025 version.
2025 CADILLAC ESCALADE: DESIGN
The Escalade exploits truck-derived, body-on-frame design and uses the K2 platform that also underpins the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, GMC Yukon and Silverado and Sierra trucks. This model, however, hides the truck roots behind large, chrome grille, fancy LED headlights and crisp lines. When seen from the profile, the blocky look is very similar to platform mates. As we mentioned earlier, the 2025 Cadillac Escalade will continue with the same styling while the new design language will be applied to the redesigned 2025 Escalade. The new-gen model will adopt styling cues seen on the Escala concept model. The redesigned Escalade and ESV version will come with the flat cargo floor. Some design improvements will be taken from the Escala sedan concept. The new generation Escalade Platinum will come with Super Cruise Level 2 as standard equipment.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
Inside the cabin, the 2025 version will continue in the familiar form. The model will be packed with luxury features and modern tech starting from the base version. We expect adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward and reverse braking, automatic high beams and more to be available on all models.Upgrades will be 22-inch wheels, rear seat entertainment, camera-based rearview mirror and more.
2025 CADILLAC ESCALADE: POWERTRAIN
Under the hood will remain a 6.2-liter V-8 engine. The 2025 Cadillac Escalade will also use a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard rear-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive will be optional. The model will be able to tow 8, 300 pounds and fuel economy will be around 18 mpg combined. The engine makes 420 hp and torque of 460 pound-feet.The upcoming version will remain body-on-frame based SUV with the solid rear-axle suspension. The next- generation will continue with the truck-derived platform but will switch to the independent rear suspension. The redesigned model should get a new 4.0-liter V-8 engine but will continue with the 10-speed transmission.
2025 CADILLAC ESCALADE: ARRIVAL, PRICE
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade will hit the market before the last quarter of 2018. Expect similar price range from $75,000 to $100,000. The arrival of the new generation Escalade is expected in late 2025.
