2025 Ford Transit: Specs, Electric Version, Price, & Release Date. The all-new 2025 Ford Transit van is getting further updates. This model is present since 2016 and now, five years later it gained huge popularity. Just like the current model, a new 2025 version will also introduce some drastic changes. Diesel and gasoline engines, an all-electric version is a possibility.
Far, everything is in the stage of concept but Blue Oval already promised more than solid figures. That, Transit van will once again arrive with a relatively new AWD system and more power than before. Both cutaway and chassis cab variants are available.
ENGINE SPECS
The current model arrived with a new engine. It is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 unit that will also power the new 2025 Ford Transit. The reliable V6 engine will use a 10-speed automatic transmission. Depending on the market, Transit will also offer different types of outputs. Thanks to that, a 2.0-liter diesel engine with 211 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque is also available. A larger 2.4-liter diesel will become available in Europe. As you can see, Ford offers various drivetrain options for each market. Transit is finally available with an AWD system.
FORD TRANSIT EV
The approaching 2025 Ford Transit will also get its all-electric version. Far, the only source of information is the concept. As you probably know, the concept is not so reliable and the production model usually departs from it. Still, the Transit EV will arrive with a very usable driving range and multiple body styles.
This model will firstly go on sale in Europe and it will use a 90 kW electric motor. Its battery capacity is rated at 76 kWh and it will provide around 124 miles of driving range. Charging will take around four hours and you can also expect more premium cabin design.
EXTERIOR CHANGES
In terms of design, a new 2025 Ford Transit will introduce numerous updates. You can also expect a couple of changes under the skin. For a start, this van will get various modifications on the front fascia. That includes changes on the hexagonal grille and its chrome bars. Headlights are reshaped so the front part looks sleeker than before.
The very same grille is proven, especially for the EcoBoost engines and their cooling. LED running lights will be all new. The rear part is mostly a carryover and the side profile will gain new power-sliding doors.
INTERIOR FEATURES
The upcoming 2025 Ford Transit is known for its practical cabin. The next model will gain a couple of updates, mostly in terms of technology. You can expect new driver-assistance features.
