However, it serves as a perfect alternative to more rugged and capable models. This pint-sized passenger van offers a room for seven passengers and great comfort. This unit replaced a 2.5-liter one year ago, so it is a relatively fresh powertrain option. Transit Connect provides a standard automatic start/stop system, and it offers an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The front-wheel-drive setup is standard as well, and van’s towing capacity is rated at 1570 pounds. What we like about this model is its superb driving manners and ride quality. The engine delivers 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. That is on par with competitors such as Ram ProMaster.

The next model will get a couple of upgrades in all categories. The 2025 Ford Transit Connect won’t be heavily upgraded, especially in terms of exterior. The new model will offer more standard features this time. That includes automatic headlights and configurable running lights that were optional before. Moreover, rain-sensing windshield wipers are now available as well.

The interior brings Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integrations. Moreover, the 2025 Ford Transit Connect comes with built-in navigation and a new infotainment system. However, the standard touchscreen is a carryover. A Wi-Fi hotspot is optional on the base trim level. Speaking of the most affordable version, Ford will add standard blind-spot monitors and rear cross-traffic alert system. New adaptive cruise control is optional on all three trim levels.

That, Ford will keep rear parking sensors, lane-keeping assist and Trailer Tow package in the offer. Thanks to this package, Transit Connect will provide 2000 pounds of towing capacity. As for the cargo area, 127 cubic feet of space is more than enough. Besides technology updates, this van won’t deliver exciting design or layout changes.


The all-new 2025 Ford Transit Connect is still available in three trim levels. The base XL model starts at $29,000. The mid-range XLT trim level is priced at $30,000. The range-topping Titanium model costs around $32,500 or slightly above that. It is a small jump in price over the current model. Blue Oval manufacturer will release its new van at some point in the second half of 2025.
