With the recently launched Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, the Japanese carmaker has an appealing alternative for other numerous and popular compact crossovers. The turbocharged engine is also the strong selling point of this model and most of versions come with the standard all-wheel drive.The Eclipse embodied the name previously used for the coupe version and the model arrived on the stage after several concept models Mitsubishi presented earlier. The model debuted as the 2018 model and to the second model year, it will enter with minimal changes in the equipment offer. The 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross could also bring more color options and new wheel designs but won’t bring substantial changes.

The Mitsubishi Eclipse has sharper shape and body lines than brand’s other SUVs but is also more aggressively styled than most of the rivals. The model adopts the same “dynamic shield” design language as brand’s other models but its theme is more attractive.The front section includes sharp headlights underlined with the chrome inserts which continues downward and bends around fog lights slots. The bumper section has also sporty contours and plenty of brightwork.The model is also visually appealing from the profile perspective thanks to the sharp, rising character line and sloped roofline. The rear is also uniquely styled with the high-mounted taillights and bisected rear glass.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
Inside the cabin, the 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will also continue in the same form. The simple but attractive design comes with the leather upholstery and contrasting elements in top-end versions. Low-spec models have cheaper materials and more hard plastic surfaces.The Eclipse provides good leg room front and rear but tall passengers will face with insufficient rear seat headroom. The space behind the rear seats is 22.6 cubes and can be expanded to 48.9 cubes with the folded rear row.The Eclipse offers rich standard equipment and comes with the intuitive infotainment system. Mitsubishi will likely offer more active safety aids in lower trim versions for the new model year. Most of the advanced safety equipment is now available in the top-tier version.
2025 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE CROSS: PERFORMANCE
The 2025 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will likely return with the same engine under the hood as Mitsubishi hasn’t announced upgrades so far. The turbocharged unit is the only engine for the buyers in the US while in other markets buyers can also get the diesel-powered version.A 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine yields 152 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The engine is the modern design with aluminum-made block and consumption cutting technologies. It comes in the combination with the consensually variable transmission.Mitsubishi will likely offer the front-wheel drive for the base version only again. All other trims will have power on all wheels. The fuel economy will stay around 26 mpg combined.
