2025 Renault Espace: Redesign, Specs, Interior, and Release Date. This model has always been a major player among minivans in Europe. The same reputation is still here, despite that the latest model has been changed for a bit in terms of base design characteristics. While previous generations were typical large MPV vehicles, the new model is a little bit different. It combines its traditional characteristics with a little bit of crossover flavor. It rides on the company’s new CMF platform, so driving characteristics are significantly better than before. The 2025 Renault Espace is about to come even better, as a mid-cycle refresh is on its way.
This will be a pretty major update, which will include not just new styling, but new engines as well. The new model should have a premiere in September.
2025 RENAULT ESPACE ENGINES
As we already mentioned, this facelift won’t bring just visual changes. Big novelties are also expected under the hood. We will see new diesel engines in the offer. The current 1.6-liter unit won’t be in the offer anymore. Instead, we will see two turbodiesels. The first one is a 1.7-liter engine, which is good for about 150 horsepower. Also, there is a new 2.0-liter engine, which will be available in two output version, with either 160 or 200 horsepower. Both engines meet the latest emission standards of the European Union.
There is a 1.8-liter gasoline engine, which delivers around 220 horsepower. This engine has also been revised in order to meet the latest emissions standards.
2025 RENAULT ESPACE DESIGN CHANGES
Of all, it is important to mention that this will be just a facelift. Base design characteristics won’t change. The new model will continue to ride on a CMF platform and it will feature pretty much same mechanics as the current model. On the other side, visual changes are certain. This will be a typical facelift, so the focus will be on the front end.
It looks that several parts will be changed, starting from new headlights, grille and bumper. On the other end, we should see a new rear bumper, while revisions on taillights are not expected. Finally, count on those typical facelift changes, which include things like new color options, new sets of wheels, new exhaust pipes and similar things.
INTERIOR
When it comes to the interior design, we probably won’t see any notable change in terms of the base design. The overall cabin layout will definitely remain the same, which isn’t a bad thing at all. The current model features a pretty nice interior, full of soft-touch materials and attractive lines. Also, the basic seating configuration will remain the same, which means standard three rows of seats and seating capacity for 7 people. Typically for the class, the first couple of rows is very generous in terms of space and offers great comfort. On the other side, the third one is a little bit tight and isn’t the best fit for taller passengers.
On the other side, we count on big updates in terms of tech features. First of all, we expect to see a new infotainment system. The touchscreen may remain the same, but completely new software will be installed. Count on better navigation, graphics and addition of smartphone integration goodies, including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Allegedly, the 2025 Renault Espace is also about to come with new safety systems and driver aids.
2025 RENAULT ESPACE RELEASE DATE AND PRICE
According to the latest reports, the 2025 Renault Espace will have a premiere at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show this September. Sales should start a couple of months later. When it comes to the price, we don’t expect bigger changes. The current model starts at around 39.000 Euros.
