To come are two models and unsurprisingly they will be based on the architecture of the Bolt EV. When the Bolt electric car arrived in 2017, the model came on the self-dedicated platform and considering a huge cost that new platform developing needs, it was the matter of time when GM will launch new models based on this architecture.Two models are expected within the next 18 months and other 18 electric models will come in the next 5-year period. GM also promises the new platform for these models and also important for the brand is to reduce the cost of the battery cell.
WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE 2025 BUICK SMALL ELECTRIC SUV.
When GM was recently speaking about the electric push, the brand didn’t say any detail about the specific model and under what sub-brand will be launched. Trusted industry sources revealed one of two Chevy Bolt-based models will carry Buick’s logo.On the other hand, while two models will share the same platform, Buick’s version will have unique sheet metal and styling elements. The model should look similar to the Buick Encore but should get aggressive Led lights, floating roof and more unique details.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
As for the interior of the 2025 Buick small electric SUV, the model should provide more passenger space than model’s platform donor. GM premium brand should also equip the new, small electric SUV with many upscale amenities and features that can’t be found in the Chevy Bolt.Buick’s new electric SUV will offer nicer materials, premium accents and stitching and more advanced tech features. The model should include larger center touchscreen likely in the tablet-like form and won’t likely have the gear lever yet push-button style like in Honda and Acura models.

When it comes to the powertrain of the 2025 Buick small electric SUV, the reports suggest similar setup as on the Bolt EV. This model has the flat 60-kWh battery sitting under the floor and providing the power for the 150-kW electric motor.

GM should launch this model sometime in next 18 months. The model could come as the 2025 Buick or even as the 2025 version. The 2025 Buick small electric SUV is expected to cost about $3000 more than the Bolt EV.
