Honda’s smallest, Fit hatchback-based, HR-V subcompact crossover continues to sell well in all markets including the US. Since the introduction for the 2016 model year, this spacious, efficient, well-handled and well-equipped crossover has been on the roads without of significant upgrades. The things should, however, change with the arrival of the 2025 Honda HR-VHonda hasn’t revealed details about the upcoming US-spec HR-V but we don’t have doubts that Japanese refreshed Vezel version give us some insight what we should expect. The mid-cycle-updated HR-V is expected to introduce some styling tweaks on the front and rear sections and improve interior comfort and equipment offer.
2025 HONDA HR-V: REFRESHED STYLING
Despite the 2025 Honda HR-V shouldn’t be far from the arrival, there are no details about this model at least not about the US version. The version for the Japanese market known as the Honda Vezel already showed its refreshed form and other markets will mimic it to the greatest extent.We should expect sharper front fascia design with the new grille, headlights and tweaked front bumper. The refreshed HR-V will present the Acura-inspired headlights similar to what we can see on the newer Hondas like the CR-V, Civic and Accord.The body lines will remain familiar from the profile perspective but new, different wheel options will slightly change the perception. The rear will also see some refreshment in form of the tweaked bumper and new graphic of the taillights.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
Like the Vezel for the Japanese market, the HR-V should come with improved sound insulation and newly shaped front seats. Honda will also go with refreshed trim pieces like the stitching and contrasting inserts.On the equipment front, expect all HR-Vs to come equipped with Honda Sensing Safety suite. This will cover the systems such as the adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning. The new HR-V will also improve its connectivity and infotainment features.
2025 HONDA HR-V: PERFORMANCE
The Vezel version doesn’t give us the insight into the changes we should expect on the performance front. The current US-spec HR-V exploits the 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and two transmission options.We don’t expect the hybrid version to join the US lineup and more likely is the introduction of the 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine which already powers the Civic, Accord and CR-V models. This would be the great upgrade for the2025 Honda HR-V but we don’t have official confirmation.
2025 HONDA HR-V: ARRIVAL, PRICE
The price of the 2025 Honda HR-V is also another mystery at this moment but we should expect a light increase considering more standard equipment. The model is expected in coming months.
