Of all, the refreshed MKX won’t arrive as the 2025 Lincoln MKX as Lincoln applies new naming convention for this model starting from the 2025 model year.Lincoln started changing the MK naming scheme when the Continual replaced the MKS and the MKX will now be rechristened to Nautilus. Other models with the MK nomenclature will also get new names when getting next update.
2025 LINCOLN MKX: NEW NAME AND FRESH STYLING
The refreshed 2025 Lincoln MKX comes as the Nautilus and with brand’s new styling elements and cues but it is still the Edge-based crossover. If you are asking us we loved Lincoln’s unique split-wing design but it is gone on the new Nautilus version.The refreshed model also has resculpted hood, new side badging and we like crisper body lines. The rear is also similar to the current design but everything looks more elegant. There are six new wheel designs.
INTERIOR, FEATURES:
Lincoln changed the height and track of seats to improve the rear-seat comfort. The steering wheel is also new. Lincoln will also offer new trim themes with new materials and accents.The new model will also gain upgraded safety equipment and standard Sync3 infotainment system. There will also be automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, active park assist, etc.
2025 LINCOLN MKX: POWERTRAIN
The new 2025 Lincoln Nautilus comes with all engines turbocharged. The new base engine replaces the 3.7-liter V-6 which produces 303 hp but the new version will be more efficient.If one wants more excitement while driving, a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 will deliver. This engine will produce 335 hp and torque of 380 pound-feet. Both engines benefit from stop/start functionality, direct injection and independent twin variable camshaft timing.The only transmission system will be a new 8-speed automatic. No word about the fuel economy.
2025 LINCOLN MKX: ARRIVAL, PRICE
Expect the new 2025 Lincoln MKX to go on sale next spring. The refreshed model should start at around $40k.
