Mercedes revealed the all-new EQC electric model from the established EQ sub-brand. The model made the debut in Stockholm, Sweden and the public debut will take place at the upcoming Pairs Auto Show. Mercedes announced ten electric models by 2025 and the new EQC follows the Smart EQ ForTwo model.The model goes on sale as the 2025 Mercedes EQC and will deliver strong performance and 200+ miles of the electric range. The sleek look with the specific front-end style will get attention while the interior will come with the MBUX multimedia system by default.
2025 MERCEDES EQC: DESIGN
The new 2025 Mercedes EQC is based on the scalable electric platform designed to support the family of the potential models. The model measures 187.4 inches in length and is about 4 inches longer than its conventionally powered equivalent the GLC model.Styling wise, the EQC looks elegant and has a unique front-end section. The large black panel covers large section in the front end including some of the bumper area. The headlights and grille are also the part of this section as well as LED light signature.The profile of the model has the similar shape as the Mercedes GLC and the rear comes with the nice taillights and full-width LED band. The model will also get the wheel options in 19 to 21-inch range with different styles and unique blue accents.
INTERIOR, FEATURES:
The cabin of the model will be defined with the MBUX design which debuted on the A-Class. The design includes the fully digital panel that incorporates the digital instrument cluster and extra wide infotainment panel in the singe section.The model will also come with the sports, multi-functional steering wheel and the center stack will include rectangular air vents and more buttons below.Mercedes will, of course, offer several levels of high-quality materials and the latest tech and safety features.
2025 MERCEDES EQC: PERFORMANCE, MILEAGE
Mercedes revealed the 2025 Mercedes EQC 400 version but more variants will be available. This version includes electric motors at each axle and the system forms the all-wheel drive. The driver will also be able to switch between five drive modes Comfort, Eco, Max Range, Sport and Individual.The rear motor in the system improves the performance while the front manages efficiency. Mercedes also claims 60 mph in 4.9 seconds.The model has the flat floor-mounted battery pack of 80 kWh. This lithium-ion unit should provide the electric range of 200 miles as Mercedes claims. The fast-charging unit will need 40 minutes to recharge the battery to 80 percent capacity.
2025 MERCEDES EQC: ARRIVAL, PRICE
The 2025 Mercedes EQC will go on sale in early 2025. The price will be known closer to the launch date. As the reference, the rival Jaguar I-Pace costs $70, 495.
