Mercedes will also use this show to present its first all-electric car from the established sub-brand EQ. Mercedes hinted the arrival of this model with the 2016 Generation EQ concept. The model will go on sale as the 2025 Mercedes EQC and this is the first of ten electric models Mercedes promised before 2025.The EQC is expected to have less radical but similar styling and proportions as the EQ Concept. Mercedes will use similar powertrain setup and provide the range of around 300 miles. The first battery-powered Mercedes will be an alternative for the Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X.
2025 MERCEDES EQC: DESIGN
The 2025 Mercedes EQC was spotted several times in the prototype form revealing us what we should expect to see when the model loses its camo. From what we can conclude from the test mule, the EQC will have the market styling which is the toned down version from what we saw on the EQ Concept.The model will be similarly-sized SUV as the GLC and GLE models but will use the electrified platform which doesn’t share a lot with these two models.The EQC will inherit the imposing front end design, low stance, roofline from the concept version. On the other hand, the headlights will have an attractive LED accents but more conventional design than on the concept car and that will be the case with grille.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
As for the in-cabin design, we expect less radical approach than in the EQ Concept. We expect features and technologies similar to the S-Class and E-Class. The model will include digital instrument cluster and large center display.Brand’s latest autonomous driving technology will make the EQC smart and safe vehicle. The car will have powerful cameras and radar system that enables autonomous acceleration, braking and steering when vehicle follows the vehicle ahead. The model will also have active blind-spot assist, active line assist and other active driver aids.
2025 MERCEDES EQC: POWERTRAIN
As for the powertrain, the 2025 Mercedes EQC should follow the footsteps of the 2016 EQ Concept. The system will include a lithium-ion battery pack which should provide the range around 300 miles. To provide that range, the battery will have more than 70 kW-hours.The system will also use two electric motors, one for each axle. The combined output should be around 400 hp. The system will provide rapid acceleration and 60 mph should be achievable in about five seconds.
2025 MERCEDES EQC: RELEASE, PRICE
The 2025 Mercedes EQC will likely go on sale late in the year after the approaching debut.
