As you can see in the photos, the new 2025 Mercedes-Benz Vision is an extremely sleek-looking van. It features a modern shape and futuristic design. For a start, Mercedes delivers a very clean design. The chrome grille looks truly impressive, along with the wheels. The large front glass looks dominating, and there is a pair of drones on the roof as well. Every part of this cargo van looks upright, and we especially like the blue lights that are everywhere, on the grille and even beneath the vehicle. LED lights on the grille and body are actually alerting other drivers that drone is launching at the delivery stop.
Inside, Vision looks incredible. The only thing is that the driver barely needs to do anything in the process. The complete vehicle is using autonomous machines and systems. A built-in computer will automatically sort the packages and even hand it to the driver. Another interesting thing about Vision van is that there are no steering wheel or pedals. The driver only needs to focus on delivering packages, and the vehicle is doing the rest of the work.
ALL-ELECTRIC POWERTRAIN
The brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz Vision will be using a single electric motor. This motor/generator is a 75-kW unit that isn’t that powerful. Whatsoever, its top-speed will be limited at 50 mph. Moreover, Vision is rated at only 100 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. Safety and getting the job done are two primary things for the German manufacturer. As we said, you can’t drive this van, and as a driver/employee, you just need to take care of packages.
2025 MERCEDES-BENZ VISION CARGO AREA AND DELIVERING PACKAGES
To make most of the cargo space, new 2025 Mercedes-Benz Vision will use an automated system of shelves and racks. Thanks to that, the process of loading and unloading is much quicker. Packages are placed in trays and shelves are running parallel with the vehicle’s centerline. Pulling out the package is done without a human.
The complete system is controlled via a cloud that is integrated into the company’s management system. Vision Van will walk from curb to the buyer’s doorstep, and it will use a pair of drones. The drones can carry 4.4 pounds each and are offering a radius of 6.2 miles.
RELEASE DATE AND PRICE
Mercedes developed its new strategy called the “adVANce” program that is based on the Vision concept. The 2025 Mercedes-Benz Vision is a high-tech luxury van that won’t come cheap. The price is not available yet, but the only customers will be delivering companies. German manufacturer plans to raise the level of delivery on a whole new level. As for the release date, some reports are suggesting the first half of 2025 as a possible release date.
