2025 Ford Bronco Warthog: Price, Release Date, and Specs. New spy footage of the 2025 Ford Bronco Warthog is available. As you know, Ford has big plans for the Bronco SUV and Warthog will be the high-performance variant, like Raptor. The spy photos are showing a beefy Bronco SUV doing some tests, both on and off the road. However, new spy shots open up a lot of rumors and the loudest speculation is about the hybrid powertrain option.
This is a possibility, but nothing is official. That, Blue Oval will build two-door and four-door variants, along with the Bronco Sport model. Clearly, Ford is building a complete Bronco family and even the pickup truck could be in the works in the near future.
2025 Ford Bronco Warthog: What About Other Engines?
We already mentioned the 2.7-liter turbo-six engine as a possible candidate. With this output, the 2025 Ford Bronco Warthog will generate around 310 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. A 3.0-liter turbo-six is another candidate for this high-performance SUV. However, the latest reports are predicting a 3.5-liter turbo-six powertrain.
The same engine powers the F-150 pickup truck. This engine is capable of producing 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. On the other hand, the same stories are saying Blue Oval will offer this engine with its lower output, which is rated at 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of twisting power.
2025 Bronco Warthog Spy Shots
A new batch of spy shots is showing what we already know. The 2025 Ford Bronco Warthog will look more sportier and aggressive. For a start, Warthog hosts larger “FORD” lettering on the front grille. Moreover, the c-shaped headlights are visible at first glance. Generally, the front fascia looks upright and it is a perfect combination with SUV’s sporty stance.
The Warthog model will also arrive with more ground clearance and chunkier tires. A new video leaked online as well and it shows 37-inch tires with the suspension, possibly borrowed from the F-150 Raptor truck. As with any other high-performance off-road model, skid plates are a must, along with some other off-road goodies.
Can Warthog Hybrid Variant Happen?
As we said, the latest reports are strongly suggesting the 2025 Ford Bronco Warthog with a hybrid powertrain. For a start, the spy photos are showing a beefy Warthog SUV with a single-exit exhaust pipe. Usually, every Ford’s high-performance variant comes exclusively with dual tips. We are aware that this is just a prototype and not a production model. The question is “what is Ford testing?” Some experts are saying the Blue Oval manufacturer is testing the emissions, which does make sense.
If we are truly looking at the hybrid prototype, which engine is under the hood? There are a couple of possible candidates, including the twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 and 3.0-liter V6. A 3.0-liter V6 currently powers the Explorer ST SUV, while the Lincoln Aviator Hybrid is using a 3.0-liter engine with an electric motor and it generates 494 horsepower.
2025 Ford Bronco Warthog Release Date, Price
The all-new 2025 Ford Bronco Warthog will cost around $60,000. We are still waiting for Ford to announce official details, including the SUV’s price. The biggest rival will be Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and we can’t wait for the Bronco SUV to arrive. Most likely, Ford will launch its brand-new model later this year.
