2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands Redesign, Release Date, Price. The upcoming 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands is coming to the markets. It is an impressive trim level for a lot of reasons. The Bronco Sport is based on Ford’s Escape chassis and was created with off-road adventure in mind. Every model comes with a four-wheel-drive and is available in four trim levels: Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands. The brand’s Terrain Management System, which has seven distinct modes for dealing with a variety of driving situations is also on offer.
The Badlands trim level has a dual-clutch rear-drive setup that allows the rear differential to be ‘locked’ to generate even more traction. Except for the Badlands variant, all variants are powered by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine. The Badlands will deploy a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and it will use impressive SelectShift transmission.
2025 Bronco Sport Badlands Trim Level Comes With More Power
As we said, all trim levels are using a 1.5-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine. However, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift and paddle shifters.
This engine develops 250 horsepower and 277 lb-ft. of torque. Thanks to that, Badlands provides the best-in-class performance figures. Bronco Sport Badlands accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 5.9 seconds. This SUV also has 26 mpg combined.
2025 Bronco Sport Badlands Exterior
On the outside, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands mimic the design aspects of the original Broncos from the 60s and 70s. The Sport variant is based on the brand’s C2 front-wheel-drive architecture, which also underlies the smaller Escape. Thanks to that, Bronco Sport will compete with models like the Jeep Compass and Cherokee. The Badlands has 8.8 inches of ground clearance, which is slightly greater than a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. It also has a better approach angle than the Jeep, while the Cherokee has somewhat superior break-over and departure angles.
Skid plates for the motor and fuel tank are also included, as is an off-road cruise control system that works up to 20 mph. The Badlands front tow hooks and 28.5-inch all-terrain tires are on offer. Pirelli Scorpio A/Ts are standard, we ‘d recommend optional Falken WildPeaks tires. The wheelbase of the Sport is 1.6 inches shorter than that of the Escape, which increases the break-over angle and gives it a stockier stance.
2025 Bronco Sport Badlands Interior Adds More Luxury
Inside, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands comes with leather upholstery and beautiful contrast stitching. You can also find plenty of black plastic materials, each with a distinctive feel, but all of them seemed to be of excellent quality. An eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat is standard and Bronco Sport provides good legroom. The front seats in the Bronco Sport are supportive and comfortable, with plenty of headroom.
Tech-wise, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment touchscreen comes as standard. This unit runs on Ford’s Sync 3 system. Hopefully, Blue Oval will provide Sync 4 in the near future. Ford’s Co-Pilot360 Assist and Class II trailer tow package are optional. Lastly, Badlands offers a standard power sunroof, six-way power-adjustable passenger seat,, dual-zone climate control and Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker sound system.

The forthcoming 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands will start at around $36,000. This is more than the base model, but the Badlands trim level adds more luxury, more standard features, and a more potent engine. The sales will begin later in 2025.
