The all-new generation highly-cable Jeep Wrangler entered the new chapter for the 2018 model year. The longer, wider and taller, the new Wrangler codenamed JL Wrangler, is more comfortable than ever and also enters the modern times with the latest tech and safety features.On the other hand, the 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will bring the diesel engine option and possibly a new special edition version. The wrangler Unlimited-based pickup should also appear soon.
2025 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED: DESIGN
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be the copy of the recently introduced all-new 2018 JL Wrangler and the new special edition version might bring some unique styling cues. Jeep will also introduce several new equipment options.The Wrangler Unlimited gained an inch in the wheelbase for better rear seat comfort and its wheelbase is 20 inches longer than on the two-door version. The Wrangler Unlimited is also wider and taller since the recent redesign.The styling of the Wrangler Unlimited is an evolution of the familiar form which dates back to 1941. The new-generation Wrangler has revamped fenders and the version of the iconic seven-slot grille and also keeps the exposed door hinges.
INTERIOR:
Interior of the redesigned Wrangler is more obvious transformation and the model added better materials and more refinement inside the cabin. The model also evolved with the latest tech achievements both in the infotainment and safety aspects.
TRIMS, EQUIPMENT:
The Wrangler Unlimited will reappear in the Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon trim options and with soft and hardtops.The Sport version will include 17-inch wheels, fog lights, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, eight speakers, 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system among others. The Sahara upgrades with the 18-inch alloys, LED headlights and fog lights, automatic climate control, 7-inch Uconnect infotainment system, etc. The Wrangler will also offer an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather upholstery, Alpine sound system, high-quality soft top, hardtop in body color, blind-spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, etc.
2025 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED: PERFORMANCE
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will continue with the 3.6-liter V-6 as the base engine. It comes in the combination with either six-speed manual or 8-speed automatic gearbox. The power is at 285 hp and torque reaches 260 pound-feet.The option will be 2.0-liter turbo four engine combined with the 48-Volt mild-hybrid system which improves efficiency and powers some equipment while the engine is off. The power from this system is 275 hp and the torque of 295 lb-ft is available from 3, 000 rpm.For the 2025 version Jeep should also bring the diesel power unit with around 440 lb-ft of torque. The plug-in hybrid version is also in the plan but may come for the 2025 version.The Wrangler Unlimited can tow up to 3, 500 pounds in the standard configuration. The fuel economy with the base engine will be 18 mpg city and 23 mpg highway. The turbocharged powertrain should return 22/24 mpg city/highway.
2025 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED: ARRIVAL, PRICE
The 2025 Jeep Wrangler Unlimitedwill hit the market late in the year or early next year. The Wrangler Unlimited will start at around $31, 000. The hardcore, off-road Rubicon will climb to $40k.
