2025 VW TOURAN ENGINES
When it comes to the powertrain, we don’t expect to see any changes. The powertrain will remain unchanged, so count on familiar petrol and diesel engines in the offer. When it comes to petrol units, base models come with a 1.2-liter unit, which is good for about 110 horsepower. Bigger 1.4- and 1.8-liter engines are good for 150 and 180 horsepower, respectively.
On the other side, diesel versions are powered with well-known TDi units. More basic models feature a smaller 1.6-liter TDI, which comes with either 110 or 115 horsepower. Of course, you can also get a bigger 2.0-liter engine, which comes in two output variants as well. You can choose between versions with 150 and 190 horsepower.

As we’ve just mentioned, this should be a typical mid-cycle update. Count on several changes. Of course, the focus should be on aesthetics. We could see a couple of modifications at the front, while the rest of the vehicle won’t receive too many modifications. Still, keep in mind that the German manufacturer usually isn’t very generous with changes during a production cycle, so the 2025 VW Touran shouldn’t be an exception. A couple of tweaks to the front fascia and a slightly revised bumper is pretty much everything we could expect from the upcoming update. Of course, count on a couple of new color options, as well as on new wheels.
On the other side, the mechanical aspect of the vehicle should remain untouched. Of course, dimensions will remain the same, while the MPV will continue to ride on the company’s familiar, highly-modular MQB platform.
INTERIOR
The first thing you will find inside this MPV is that there is plenty of space, particularly for occupants. Three rows are standard and while the third one may be a little bit tight, the second one offers a pretty amazing level of comfort. Of course, the first row is also quite spacious. Typically for the segment, the driver’s position is high. Visibility is pretty good. On the other side, the dashboard isn’t pretty attractive.
Typically for the brand, the dashboard is a pretty blend, while the instrument cluster is really basic. Still, we must say that the list of standard equipment is pretty long and that it includes a lot of tech goodies. Of course, the first thing that comes to mind is a touchscreen interface, which works pretty good. It is the company’s familiar MIB infotainment technology, which is fast and quite intuitive. Android Auto and Apple Carplay are standard, as well as a Guide & Inform app. Wi-Fi is available.
2025 VW TOURAN RELEASE DATE AND PRICE
Despite the potential update, we don’t expect to see 2025 VW Touran much earlier than usual. It should hit the market sometime late in the next year. When it comes to the price, base models should go around 25.000 dollars. When it comes to competition, some of the key rivals are models like Renault Grand Scenic, Ford Grand C-Max, Opel Zafira etc
