Jaguar Land Rover continues the offensive in the crossover SUV segment and another prototype was recently spotted on the road. The sales will likely start in the first half of 2025 and model could arrive as the 2025 Range Rover Evoque MK2 or even as the 2025 model.The model is also expected to improve passenger comfort, add more connectivity and upgraded safety systems. The mild-hybrid option is also expected but the model will likely debut without of the electrified powertrain.
2025 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE MK2: PLATFORM, STYLING
The new-generation 2025 Range Rover Evoque MK2 will likely keep the current, front-wheel-drive D8 architecture. Land Rover will likely improve the structure of this platform with the use of lightweight materials and with the new powertrain capability.On the other hand, the model should also continue with roughly same proportions as the current generation. The automaker will stretch the current 2660 mm wheelbase for about 20 mm in order to match the Jaguar E-Pace.Styling wise, after the launch of the Velar model and from what we saw on the prototype, we expect similar exterior cues as on the recent Velar. The model won’t actually change much its fashionable exterior and the profile we stay very similar to the current design.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT:
Inside the cabin, passengers will benefit from the modest wheelbase stretch. The additional space will improve rear legroom and cargo capacity.As for the design, expect to see similar dashboard design with the dual-screen center cluster as on the Velar model. JLR’s latest electronic features will, of course, be installed as well as the active safety systems. The model will come in the five-door variant alongside the three-door coupe version.
2025 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE MK2: POWERTRAINS
As for the engine options, the 2025 Range Rover Evoque MK2 will, of course, be powered by JLR’s new four-cylinder, turbocharged Ingenium units. Deepening on the market the automaker will offer both diesel and petrol options.The new Evoque models will use the ZF-sourced 9-speed automatic transmission. Both, the front- and all-wheel drive will be available as well as brand’s newest off-road gear.JLR has also promised the electrified version of each model after 2025 and the Evoque could be the first to gain the new mild-hybrid powertrain. This combination includes a 1.5-liter three-cylinder Ingenium engine and small electric motor. The system also uses a 48V electrification.
2025 RANGE ROVER EVOQUE MK2: ARRIVAL, PRICE
The new-gen 2025 Range Rover Evoque MK2 should debut in autumn 2018. It should go on sale before spring 2025. Expect the price range from around $42k in the US and from ₤ 32,000 in the UK.
